Prototype 3

The second playtests went better than the first. Despite being a 'corrupted' version of the game idea, this prototype worked better. I was able to get the mechanics, such as pick up and drop, fixed from the week before. The feedback on the game idea was quite positive, with even more suggestions as to puzzles that the players would enjoy to play through in a finished game.

Some players found the most fun in just picking up and throwing the game objects around, enjoying the chaos of messing up the room the game was set in so maybe I could use this for a possible puzzle in the future.

The third and final prototype has to be based off of the prompt 'Nature'. My first idea, and the one I really like, is to have some kind of cute gardening type puzzle. Maybe have the player grow their own produce in order to solve the escape room.

I'm thinking of having tasks that have to be done in a certain order to grow the plants but the player will have to figure out, through clues, what this order is. Maybe the player will have to only grow a certain number of each plant to complete the task and they have limited seeds/tries in order to do so.

I really like games where you collect things and grow your own garden so I think that making a little garden themed escape room puzzle will be really fun to do and I'm looking forward to giving it a go!
